Pedestrian safety and speeding continue to be ignored by Labour-run Council.
Despite years of requests from residents, and the introduction of London’s largest Low-Traffic Neighbourhood by Hounslow Council, basic safety improvements for pedestrians in Grove Park remain incomplete. The area continues to suffer from dangerous traffic speeds, blind corners, and crossings that are either unmarked or poorly lit.
Parents walking children to school at Grove Park Primary and nearby nurseries have flagged near-misses at key junctions like Hartington Road and Grove Park Bridge. Yet Hounslow Council continues to delay action— failing to install zebra crossings, improve signage, or calm traffic speeds.
Conservative councillors have pushed for targeted road safety upgrades using Section 106 and TfL funding—but Labour has failed to prioritise Grove Park’s needs. “Residents have been clear: they want safer crossings, slower traffic, and walkable streets,” said Cllr Gabriella Giles. “Labour must stop ignoring this community.”
