Linden has lived in Chiswick Homefields for over 3 years. In that time he has been an active member of the Chiswick community, volunteering at Bedford Park and Chiswick Book Festivals, using the football pitches at King's House, and spending his weekends ambling around Chiswick House Gardens or in the many pubs, coffee houses, or shops along the High Road.
Working as an advisor to two Members of Parliament in Westminster has given Linden first-hand experience of politics, policy and communications. He wants to use that experience to campaign effectively for local residents and help deliver practical improvements across Chiswick.
As a commuter into Central London he wants to be a strong voice for better local transport and traffic policies, including the long-promised all-day Piccadilly line stopping at Turnham Green. More important is progress on step-free access at at least one Chiswick station, and if elected Linden will be a vocal advocate for improved accessibility. He has been dismayed at Hounslow Council's chaotic handling of its e-bike contract, from a dismal enforcement record to cross-border issues that have resulted in a worse service for those who wish to take e-bikes to neighbouring boroughs. He also wants to be a strong voice for an improved LTN system in Chiswick that currently penalises the wrong drivers and makes traffic elsewhere worse.
Besides being a committed Conservative, Linden is also an eternally optimistic football fan and even more optimistic buyer of books.
